The Sherman Oaks Street Fair is located on Ventura Boulevard between Van Nuys and Kester and runs from 10 am - 6 pm. The Sherman Oaks Street Fair is the largest community event in San Fernando Valley, drawing some 80,000 people. Since 1991 The Sherman Oaks Street Fair has generated more then $400,000 for local public schools. There will be approximately 200 booths stuffed with food, arts & crafts, gift wares (and wine to taste!) from around the world. There are two stages for live entertainment, a beer & wine garden and a "kid zone" with carnival rides and games. If you missed the Car Show last year, you're in luck. It's back and better than ever. The state's largest farmers' market opens its "All-You-Can-Carry Pumpkin Patch" on Wednesday, October 28 from 8am to 1:30pm (or until all the gourds are gone!). Put them in your teeth, balance them on your head and take home all the pumpkins you can carry to the end of the 25 foot long pumpkin patch lane. Meanwhile, there's nothing really scary about this outdoor market's fresh produce, except for how much you might find yourself taking home.
